When I was away, I sat down one morning to write about what my life would look like in a few months. I wrote about where I would be living, where I would be working, what I would being doing with my spare time. I put in place details of what I wanted my life to look like in a few months. It helped me to feel excited about the future instead of completely overwhelmed by it. I wrote down what I wanted my life to look like and if I took the time to manifest those things in the coming months, I would be living the life I want to live.
It is easy to just go with the flow. One day turns into the next and days to weeks and life goes on and on. It is easy to never be present and stick to your daily routine. When we get so caught up in life, we are missing the opportunity to manifest the life we want to have later on. Most people have dreams, goals, wants and desires but what most people fail to do is manifest these things into their lives.
According to the internet, manifest means to make clear or evident to the eye. The first step to manifesting something is to get it out of your head and onto paper. I have a list of things next to my bed where I jot things down I want to manifest. Currently on the list is take my car to be inspected and get a haircut. Then I use the list when I plan for my week and I figure out how to get these things done. When you put your ideas on to paper they stop floating in your head and you can stop obsessing over them.
In addition to jotting my ideas down, at the beginning of the month I write out what I want my month to look like. Start by asking, what do I want to manifest this month? Start small, but dream big. You do not have to write down your dream and then tackle it the next day. Think baby steps. What is something you can do everyday to get closer to your dream. Or what is the first step in getting closer to it and then figure out the second step after you complete the first.
For someone who struggles with control and has spent a lot of time figuring out what she wants from life, manifesting things is helping me to feel more in control. I do not feel life is making the decisions for me, I feel I am laying the ground work to get what I want out of life. You should try it.
