A practice of gratitude

I am grateful. I am grateful my basic needs are being met. I am grateful I pursue the things I love daily. I am grateful I have learned to trust myself and I can honor what I know to be true. I am grateful for my family and friends. I am grateful for my health. I am grateful, I am grateful, I am grateful.

I am grateful. I am grateful for the past year of my life. It has not been easy. I learned so much about myself. I can easily choose not to be grateful for it, I can easily choose to be frustrated by what has happened but that would be the easy way out. It is a beautiful thing to find gratitude in the messiest moments of your life. Leaving law school, moving home and trying to figure out what is next for me has been quite messy. But I am grateful for each and every moment. I know I am getting to where I am supposed to be going and I know every set back was really just an invitation to look closer at what I really want in my life. I am grateful I looked closer because now I live my life in an entirely different way. I choose what is best for me instead of what I think I should do because of what other people think or say. I am grateful I have found the strength, courage, and vulnerability to trust the voice inside me. I am grateful I have learned to live out the things I already know to be true. I am grateful, I am grateful, I am grateful.

What are you grateful for?
